Genesis G90 Dashboard Light Guide

If you own or lease the Genesis G90 luxury sedan, then you know how important it is to keep it in top-tier condition. This means both taking it in for scheduled maintenance when it's due and resolving any issues as they come up.

Some invaluable tools to help with this are your G90's dashboard lights, warnings, and indicators. They'll let you know when something is wrong, specifically and promptly. Our team at Norm Reeves Genesis created this helpful dashboard light guide for our customers in Cerritos, Long Beach, and Anaheim.

If you have any questions about what you read, don't hesitate to reach out to our service center.

Genesis G90: Dashboard Lights, Warnings, and Indicators

  •  Air Bag Warning Light: This symbol is a side view of a passenger protected by his/her airbag. But it means that the airbag isn't working properly, and wouldn't deploy in an emergency.
  • Seat Belt Warning Light: It looks like a front view of a passenger protected by his/her seatbelt. But, like above, it means your seatbelt isn't engaged, and you're not protected. Buckle up, folks!
  • Trunk Open Warning Light: This warning light is self-evident. It looks like an open trunk, and it denotes an open trunk.
  • Malfunction Indicator Light: Ah, yes, the notorious Check Engine Light. If this light turns on, you should schedule a visit with your local Genesis service center right away. It's simply not worth the risk to wait.
  • Wiper Washer Fluid Level Warning Light: The Wiper Washer Fluid Level Warning Light pictograph looks like a windshield-wiping system that's ejecting its cleaner fluid onto the front window. When it flashes, you need your fluid refilled by a professional.
  • Parking Brake and Brake Fluid Warning Light: The Parking Brake and Brake Fluid Warning Light pictograph is just an exclamation point and a capital P on top of the word BRAKE. Like the Wiper Washer Fluid Level Warning Light, when it flashes, you need your brake fluid refilled by a professional.
  • Low Tire Pressure Indicator: This light is shown as an exclamation point engulfed by a tire. It's very important to keep your tires at the proper air pressure, for your car's performance and its efficiency, as well as the safety of you and your passengers.
  • Cruise Indicator: When the CRUISE indicator is illuminated, it means your G90's cruise control system is running smoothly!
  • Door Open Warning Light: The symbol is an aerial view of a sedan with the driver's door and the passenger's door open. Close your doors, people.
  • Light On Indicator: This switches on and off to let you know when your headlights are active.
  • Eco Indicator: This switches on and off to let you know when your Genesis G90 is maximizing fuel efficiency with Eco mode.
