Air Bag Warning

  • Looks like: A person with a round air bag in front of them.
  • Meaning: When illuminated while driving, there may be a problem with the air bag system. Bring your car in for service as soon as possible.

Seat Belt Warning

  • Looks like: A person wearing a seat belt.
  • Meaning: When illuminated while driving, your seat belt is not buckled-put it on!

Parking Brake & Brake Fluid Warning

  • Looks like: Two circles, one containing an ! and one containing a P, accompanied by the word BRAKE.
  • Meaning: There may be a problem with your parking brake, braking system, or you may need a brake fluid change. Bring your car in for service as soon as possible.

Anti-lock Brake System

  • Looks like: A circle containing ABS.
  • Meaning: Your anti-lock braking system is experiencing a problem, which can cause you to slip when trying to brake on wet roads. Have your ABS inspected as soon as possible.

Electric Power Steering

  • Looks like: A steering wheel and an exclamation point.
  • Meaning: There may be a problem with your power steering, and you'll have difficulty turning the wheel. Have the car serviced immediately.

Malfunction Indicator

  • Looks like: A driveshaft connecting two axles.
  • Meaning: There's a problem with your all-wheel drive system. Have your car serviced as soon as possible.
